A then only 19 year-old youth from Tyrol, I founded Kofler-Dichtungen in Kirchbichl, Tyrol, in 1988. My intention was to supply high quality seals to all Tyrolean industrial and construction firms, as well as to the engineering sector.
Demand was growing rapidly, and it soon became clear that the existing company premises were insufficient. Therefore, in 1993, I decided to relocate my production facilities to the regional capital, Innsbruck.
A few years later, business development enabled me to purchase my own premises. No satisfactory structures were for sale in Innsbruck, and thus, in 1999, my team and I moved to the newly constructed industrial estate in Mils, where my company will most probably stay.
My company philosophy has remained the same since 1988: „Regard your client as a partner” continues to be our mission.
Soon after the company was founded, I made a name for myself as a reliable and capable partner for any sector which utilizes seals.
Originally, my team specialised in solving problematic cases, but in the meantime this has changed fundamentally. Today, Kofler-Dichtungen is a general supplier to industrial and construction companies all over the world.

About us – Technology
Kofler-Dichtungen produces a wide range of superior standard seals, as well as high tech seals which satisfy even the most discriminating customers.
We manufacture our seals using CNC technology and rely on the latest geometries as well as on high-tech materials such as polyurethane, NBR, Viton, EPDM rubber, silicone, PTFE pure and filled, high temperature NBR, low temperature PU, Viton, PU and EPDM with FDA certificate, and so on. Special materials such as Kalrez, PEEK and Aflas are available on demand!
Our materials cover a temperature range of -260°C to 1,000°C.
We produce seals ranging from an inner diameter of 4mm to an outer diameter of 2,000mm.
Our method of production is suitable for the manufacturing of rod seals as well as for the development of new seal geometries and the production of seals with unusual dimensions.
